From Clicks to Customers

Building a full-funnel marketing strategy
Ever feel like your marketing is just… there? Like it exists, but doesn’t really do much? Maybe you’re getting plenty of clicks, but sales? Not so much.
That’s because getting traffic isn’t the same as getting customers. A full-funnel marketing strategy fixes that. Instead of relying on luck, it guides potential buyers through every step of their journey, from “hmm, interesting” to “shut up and take my money.”
Here’s how to make it happen in 5 key stages.
Plus, we have a pdf downloadable cheat sheet available, to help you plan.
There are questions and ideas, and some space to jot notes. Let’s get started…
Step 1: Awareness
Getting on their radar
At the top of the funnel, people don’t know you exist. Your job? Change that.
✅ Get found on google – Invest in local SEO. Write blogs, guides, and FAQs that answer the questions your customers are asking. It’s like planting little breadcrumbs across the internet that lead back to you.
✅ Social media ads – Show up where your customers already hang out: Social Media. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram—whichever platform suits your audience best.
✅ Borrow someone else’s audience – Get featured in an industry blog, collaborate with a partner, or team up with an influencer.
At this stage, don’t go full sales mode. Nobody likes that person at a party who talks about themselves all night. Give value first.
Step 2: Interest
Keeping them engaged
Okay, they know you exist. Now what? You need to stay in their orbit.
✅ Tempt them with freebies – Offer a useful guide, webinar, or resource in exchange for their email. Think of it as a first date before you pop the big sales question.
✅ Email marketing – Send friendly, helpful emails. Not just “buy now” nonsense. Share tips, insights, and the occasional dad joke.
✅ Retargeting ads – Ever feel like a website is following you around? That’s retargeting. And it works.
People don’t buy the first time they see you. Be the brand they remember when they’re ready.
Step 3: Consideration
Addressing their concerns
Now they’re weighing up options. Yours and someone else’s. So… why you?
✅ Case studies & testimonials – Show proof. Real customers, real results.
✅ Comparison guides – If you know they’re checking out competitors, help them decide with a side-by-side breakdown.
✅ Interactive content – Quizzes, calculators, free audits. Anything that helps them visualise the value you bring.
If they’re still hesitating, it’s usually because they have unanswered questions. Make sure they find the answers on your site. Not a competitor’s.
Step 4: Conversion
Sealing the deal
They’re interested. Let’s not make this harder than it needs to be.
✅ Landing pages that work – Keep them clear, persuasive, and to the point. No distractions, no rabbit holes.
✅ A reason to act now – Limited-time offers, bonus perks, or even just “don’t miss out” messaging can nudge them over the line.
✅ Live chat or sales calls – Some people just need a human to talk to before they commit.
Your job here? Make it easy to say yes.
Step 5: Retention
Turning buyers into superfans
The funnel doesn’t stop when they buy. That’s where most businesses go wrong.
✅ Welcome them properly – A good onboarding process makes all the difference. Show them what to do next.
✅ Reward loyalty – Give customers a reason to stick around. Discounts, VIP perks, early access. Whatever fits your business.
✅ Upsell & cross-sell – Know what they might need next? Suggest it. Thoughtfully, not pushily.
A happy customer is your best marketing. Keep them happy.
Come this way…
Marketing isn’t just about getting clicks
It’s about guiding people from first touch to final sale. A full-funnel strategy makes sure you’re not just attracting visitors, but actually turning them into paying customers.
