The opportunity

We are looking for a creative person with a flair for marketing. A dazzling designer who loves to meet others, learn about new industries and immerse themselves in the diverse world of business to be our next Design Executive.

Who are we?

Nettl of Manchester is part of a global network of web, design, print & signage studios, our Manchester studio is based in Trafford Park with a multi-skilled design and sales team. Not only is the studio connected to our main production hub in Manchester via our proprietary software systems, it is also based in our Head Office location, offering countless opportunities for collaboration across teams and departments. We take a consultative approach to working with our clients to understand and grow their business through design & marketing.

What is the role?

Success in this role would be winning new clients and helping them and existing clients create campaigns to get more customers for their business using our products and services. You will create branding, websites and other elements of graphic design to make these campaigns a reality.

Supported with our training and coaching, you would engage in a multi-faceted approach to grow the client base of the Nettl of Manchester studio. You will work with the rest of the Nettl of Manchester team to create, improve and participate in ongoing studio marketing and outreach. You’ll adopt a self-starter approach to learning all the ways you can help your clients get more customers, with this, you’ll also now when to ask for support.

Design Executive

You will have the opportunity to, and be expected to, take the reins. To use your creativity to pioneer new initiatives to reach new audiences, drive sales and improve client satisfaction. You will have the freedom to create and explore new marketing and design solutions for your clients. You will be expected to participate in networking, sales outreach, client support, and project management.

Responsibilities

In this role, you would gain in-depth understanding of your clients’ businesses and build strong relationships with them. You would identify ways to resolve challenges they face and build upon their points of strength.

These challenges might include needing a more prominent presence online, wanting to launch a new product, brand a new business, or sell more services. It’s super important to us that we know and understand the goals and needs of each client and can tailor our offering to best support them.

We are a super creative team. We design websites and branding, we craft beautiful signage and print. Your role would be a balance of identifying creative solutions to your clients’ needs and designing those solutions. You’ll liaise with your studio team and teams across other areas of the business including the production hub, geeks and digital marketing experts to turn those ideas into a reality.

Typical Work Activities Include:

• Meeting with clients to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job;
• Deal with incoming enquiries with professionalism and due regard for the enquiry handling process;
• Make outgoing communications to potential clients in order to win new business;
• Interpreting the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose and that meets the brief;
• Estimating the time required to complete the work and agreeing artwork costs that reflect this for clients;
• Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research;
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts, then present them to the client in a professional manner;
• Using innovation to challenge design briefs within the constraints of cost and time;
• Design accurate and high-quality website, print and signage designs that meet the needs of the client;
• Maintain and grow relationships with clients through a consultative relationship throughout their continued marketing efforts.

Location

You would be based in our Trafford Park, Manchester location and work in a team setting with other marketing-led creatives.

We have worked hard to create a covid-secure environment for our staff and clients with social distancing measures in place, sanitation stations, screen dividers and face masks available. According to government guidelines and best practices, you may need to work from home at times over the coming months and would be supported in doing so effectively.

Ideal Experience:

• Graphic and/ or Web Design
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress
• Sales
• Marketing
